If you have a file-based data source, follow the steps below to import files into Reflect.
Instructions
1. In the Reflect application, go to the page Settings > Integrations > Data Sources.
2. In the list of active integrations, click on the source for which you want to import files. For example:
⚠️ The source must include “Fichier” in its name in order to use the file import feature.
A window will open in the application, showing the list of files being processed or already synchronized.
3. Click on the upper area and select one or more files (or drag and drop the file(s) there directly).
⚠️ Make sure to respect the required file format (csv, xslx, dsn...), this depends on your data source.
Note that your file size must not exceed 30 Mo.
💡 If the file you want to import is larger than 30 Mo, you can compress it before uploading it to the platform. A short tutorial on how to compress a CSV file is available here. You cannot compress multiple files together, or compress a folder.
Reflect's data team should have provided you with example file name patterns that are accepted for the source you want to update.
⚠️ The name of the file you import can be important, especially to determine which part of the dashboards should be updated with the data it contains.
Once the upload is complete, the file is saved and appears at the top of the import table, but a red badge with an exclamation mark appears. Some information about this file is still missing.
4. Select a target month, that is, the month to which the data you are uploading pertains. As long as the target month is not filled in, the file will not be processed by Reflect.
💡 If the file contains data for multiple months, you can select the last month of the period. If the data you are uploading does not target a specific month, you can select the current month (or the month during which the file was generated).
Once the target month is filled in, a blue badge with a clock appears. Your file is ready to be processed by Reflect.
It will be synchronized no later than 24 hours after upload. Once synchronized, the file's status will be automatically marked as.
In case of a synchronization error, the Data team will be notified and will take the necessary steps to resolve the issue; if the format is not correct, we will contact you by email.
5. (Optional) Select an entity, that is, the company concerned by the data you are uploading. This is a free text field; you can enter whatever you want.
This field will not affect your data; it's simply a way to better organize your files when you have many entities.
