Parental or sabbatical leave: effect on worked FTE

Understand how parental or sabbatical leave affects worked FTE in Reflect.

Written by Reflect Team

Parental or sabbatical leave sets an employee’s worked FTE to 0 for each day covered, regardless of the leave’s duration. This can reduce Average worked FTE (over period). This rule does not change contractual FTE.

The rule applies from the first day, even if the leave covers only part of a day: worked FTE is then 0 for the whole day. If contractual FTE is undefined, worked FTE remains undefined.

To investigate an unexpected result, check the leave dates in your HR software and the data sent to Reflect, as well as how the reason is classified under Type of absence.
