Understanding the “Active status” rule

Understand how employment status affects HR headcount in Reflect.

Written by Reflect Team

The Active status rule helps determine whether an employee is included in HR headcount on a given date. Reflect uses the employment status available for that date.

An employee whose status is inactive is not counted on that day. If the status is missing, they are not counted either. Some organization-specific configurations may add another condition.

What is the effect on the numbers?

Headcount (HR) (end of period) counts employees in headcount at the end of the selected period. An absence alone does not exclude an employee: their inclusion depends on their contract, status and any other applicable conditions. Indicators that use headcount can therefore vary depending on the date and the data available.

If there is a discrepancy

Check the period and filters in your analysis, then the employee’s dates and status in the data sent to Reflect. If the discrepancy remains, contact your Reflect representative to check the data and any rules specific to your organization.
