In Reflect, annualized salary expresses a contract salary on an annual basis. It feeds theoretical salary analyses and helps compare amounts expressed over different pay periods.
How is salary annualized?
Reflect uses the pay period of the amount retained: one year corresponds to 1,800 hours for an hourly amount, 240 days for a daily amount and 12 months for a monthly amount. An amount already expressed annually is kept as it is. These are conversion references, not a count of hours or days actually worked.
For example, a base salary of €3,000 per month corresponds to €36,000 annualized.
How should you interpret the result?
Annualized salary is a theoretical value at a given date: it does not necessarily match the sum of payroll actually paid during the year. Annualization alone does not convert a part-time salary to a full-time basis; full-time equivalent measures apply a separate adjustment.
If an amount seems incorrect, check the salary and its pay period in the data supplied to Reflect, then contact your Reflect representative if needed. Earlier processing can vary by source.
