In job analyses, Reflect uses information about the recruiter associated with the job to populate the Hiring manager name and Job owner name dimensions. The recruiter’s role affects the name shown and therefore how jobs are distributed when you analyze or filter by these dimensions.
How are the names populated?
If the recruiter’s role contains “manager”, regardless of capitalization, Reflect may show their name under Hiring manager name.
If their role does not contain “manager”, or is empty, Reflect may show their name under Job owner name.
If no name is selected for the Job owner name field, Reflect uses the recruiter’s email address associated with the job when it is provided. This can also happen when their role contains “manager”. A field may remain empty if the necessary data is unavailable.
For example, for a job associated with Alex Martin, whose role is “Hiring Manager” and whose name and email [email protected] are available, the hiring manager may appear as “Alex Martin” and the job owner as “[email protected]”.
What should I check if a value looks wrong?
Compare the job and its associated recruiter in your recruitment tool, especially the role, name and email provided. If a value is still unexpected, share an example job and the relevant period with your Reflect contact.
For a broader check of your data, see the recruitment data acceptance testing guide.
