The In remuneration top 5 and In remuneration top 10 filters identify the highest salaries on a given date. The ranking is established for each company using each contract’s annualized total salary, expressed on a full-time basis and converted to euros when an exchange rate is available.
Which contracts are included?
The employee must be in the HR headcount on the date observed. The contract’s total salary must be known and its HR FTE must be greater than zero. A contract that does not meet these conditions is not marked in the top 5 or top 10.
The HR FTE used may be reconstructed from finance FTE, so it can differ from the FTE used for the full-time equivalent salary displayed per contract.
For equal salaries, Reflect uses employee and contract identifiers to order the rows. Consequently, not every tied row is necessarily included at the cutoff.
When a person has multiple contracts
Contracts are ranked separately: their salaries are not added together to establish this ranking. Multiple simultaneous contracts for one person can therefore occupy multiple places. For example, if their two contracts rank first and second, the remaining three top 5 places go to the next three contracts.
To interpret an employee-level result involving multiple contracts, compare it with the contracts and data on the date observed. Contact your Reflect team if the result remains unexpected.
What to check if the result is unexpected
Check the date, HR headcount, total salary and working-time fraction of each contract supplied by your source. If the exchange rate is missing, Reflect uses the amount without converting it for this ranking. If salaries are in different currencies, this can distort their comparison.
