For the Egapro Index, Reflect counts people who returned from maternity or adoption leave during the fiscal year and received a qualifying raise during the leave or after their return.
Which raises are included?
Reflect looks for a raise during the leave period used for the calculation, including any parental leave that extends it. A raise may count even on the day of a promotion, if it meets the other detection rules. After leave, Reflect looks for a raise up to the end of the fiscal year of return; a raise on the day of a promotion is not counted in this case.
The raise threshold and cases not counted apply. See also the rule Raise after a category change.
How does this affect the figures?
The measure Number of employees returned from maternity leave and received a raise counts people meeting these conditions within the selected scope and filters. The person must also appear in the HR headcount for at least one day of the fiscal year, and their return date, the day after the end of the leave period used, must be no later than the end of their contract.
A person who meets the return conditions but has no qualifying raise remains in the Number of employees returned from maternity leave, but not in the number who received a raise.
For example, a person returns on March 1 and receives a qualifying raise on June 1 of the same fiscal year. They are counted in both measures if they appear in the HR headcount for at least one day of that fiscal year, their contract does not end before their return, and they are within the selected scope and filters. If their raise occurs after that fiscal year ends, they are not counted in the measure of people who received a raise for that year, unless another qualifying raise occurred during leave or between their return and the end of that fiscal year.
What should I check if the figures differ?
Check the dates and categories of leave, salary dates and amounts, any promotions, and the selected fiscal year and scope. If leave dates are unreliable, Reflect may reconstruct them from monthly data; this can change the fiscal year of return and the raises included.
To understand the leave period, see Maternity or adoption leave and Leave without reliable dates. To prepare your report, see The Egapro index. If the difference remains after updating the data, contact your Reflect representative with the person, dates and measure concerned.
